AIMS / LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

At the end of the lesson, students should be able to:
1.       Gather information regarding the type of bizarre funeral rite including pictures and map.
2.       Organize the information in spiderscribe.net.
3.       Write a paragraph comparing between the type of bizarre funeral rite  and their culture’s funeral rite  by using the correct tense (present tense).

PROCEDURE:
1-       Teacher introduces the topic of the lesson which is Bizarre Funeral Rites.
2-       Teacher will divides the students into five groups of six.
3-      Teacher introduces spiderscribe.net and explains to the students on how to use it.
4-       Teacher assigns each group to find information on a type of bizarre funeral rite around the world by browsing through the internet. The types of burial rites are:
·         Zoroastrian funeral
·         Tibetan Buddhist celestial burial
·         Hanging of coffin
·         Cannibalism
·         Sati
5.       Based on the information found, students are asked to create a spider map by using spiderscribe.net.
The information that must be included in the spider map are:  
·         The type/name of funeral
·         The practitioner of the funeral
·         The procedures of the funeral
·         The pictures of the funeral
·         The location map  of the practice
·         References
6-       After the maps are done, the teacher asks the students to write a paragraph comparing between the bizarre funeral rite and their own culture’s funeral by using the correct tense.
7-       Teacher asks the students to attach their writing into spiderscribe.net created earlier.

8-       The students will share their spiderscribe with the teacher through email.
